SHARES
Share Holding
Shares are units of stocks issued to members by North Tema Co-operative Credit Union Limited (NTCCU) to represent their ownership or stake in the union. Membership shares have the primary role of establishing members' ownership, interest and voting rights in the credit union.
Subscription
Subscription of shares in the society is open to all existing members
and potential members who have paid their entrance fees in full and
in accordance with the Union's by-laws.
It is mandatory for every member of the society to subscribe to (at
least) a minimum share capital as described below.

Minimum Shares
However minimum share shall be reviewed from time to time by the Board for approval at Annual General Meeting (AGM). Members may receive dividend on their shares at the end of the financial year after surplus has been declared. Half of the dividend will be capitalized whilst the other half is credited to member's Current Account. Members holding less than minimum shares do not enjoy dividend. Shares can only be accessed upon membership withdrawal.
Maximum Share Holding
The total shareholding of an individual member of the credit union at any particular moment shall not exceed 20% of the total shares of the society or as determined by the Management and the Board from time to time.
